Kenneth Clifford Bender
WOOSTER – Kenneth Clifford Bender, 85, of Wooster, passed away July 15.
He was born in Marion and served in the Air Force during
World War II
. He married Ethel Jane Wilson on Aug 18, 1951 and raised their family in Vermilion, OH. He was employed as a physical education teacher in the Lorain Public Schools, retiring in 1984. He also managed the Sun-Fun-Swim Club and YMCA in Vermilion. Ken had been a long time member of First Lutheran Church in Lorain, OH before retiring to Florida.
He is survived by his wife, 4 children; 9 Grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers.
Services will be Saturday, Aug. 23 at 2pm at Zion Lutheran Church, Wooster. Contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 7401 Winkler Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33919 or LifeCare Hospice, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
