Natalie (McGhee) Ladikos Obituary
BERLIN HEIGHTS - Natalie (nee McGhee) Ladikos, age 44, of Berlin Heights, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at University Hospital, Cleveland.
She was born October 13, 1969, in Lorain, and lived in Avon, until moving to Berlin Heights 10 yrs. ago. She graduated from Avon High School, class of 1988, where she played volleyball and also ran track. She was the Avon Festival of Flowers Queen in 1988. She lived in Germany and travelled throughout Europe with her Army husband, Chris. She enjoyed sports, especially keeping stats and videotaping her son's games. She also hosted weekly spaghetti dinner for the football team. She was an amazing baker, party planner, and decorator. She was a member of the Edison Chargers Athletic Booster Club in Berlin Heights. She enjoyed flowers, animals, and most of all spending time with her family. Her beautiful smile and laughter brought joy to a room.
She is survived by her husband of 25 yrs, Chris S. Ladikos; son, Christopher D. Ladikos; parents, Dan and Nancy (nee Schneider) McGhee of Avon; sister, Kimberly (Alan) Matyi of Avon; two nieces, Kelsey and Sarah; and two nephews, Kyle and Ethan.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Carol (nee Fritz) Ladikos and Chris Ladikos; brother-in-law, Darryl Ladikos; paternal grandparents, Hugh and Esther (nee Davlin) McGhee; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Lee (nee Januska) Schneider.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon, where closing prayers will be at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, followed by a 10 a.m. mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the "Natalie Ladikos Memorial Fund", C/O First Federal of Lakewood, 36839 Detroit Road, Avon, 44011. Contributions will be donated to a charity chosen by the family.
