AVON - Cora Ellen (nee Schira) Hosler died August 6, 2014, from a brief illness. She was born on March 12, 1921, in Carey.
She was the loving wife to Robert Benton Hosler (deceased). She was loving mother to five children, Joe Hosler (deceased) (Betty), Steve (Terri), Connie, Casey, Holly (John). Remembered fondly by 10 grandchildren, Doug Hosler, Jason Hosler, Courtney Koz (John), Rachael Willis (Crispen), Jonathan Cachat (Fiancé Hannah Jones), Heather Skinner (Bob), Joey Cachat, Cora Cachat, Christian Hosler and Taylor Hosler. Remembered fondly by nine great-grandchildren, Brandon Hosler, John Koz, Chloe Koz, Claudia Koz, Kayla Koz, Katie Ribar, Emma Ribar, Courtney Ribar and CJ Willis.
Cora Ellen and her husband, Ben, lived and raised their five children in Findlay. In 1962, they moved the family to Rocky River. Cora Ellen and her husband were very active in the Democratic Party. Cora Ellen enjoyed Beachcliffe Women's Club and international travel for her husband's job. Known as "Nona" to those near and dear.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Avon Oaks where she resided for several years.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m., on Friday, August 15, at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will be at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River.
