LORAIN – This world lost one of their best as Harry Lester Gongloff Sr., known by his family and friends as "Big H" went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2010 after a brief illness with cancer.
Harry Gongloff was born in Johnstown Pennsylvania in 1948. He resided in Lorain for the last forty-two years and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church for thirty-seven years. He owned and operated H and H Trucking for the past twenty years. Harry enjoyed movies, camping, and motorcycling; but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved interacting with all of his seven grandchildren: Jessica, Joey, Harry III, Hunter, Jeremiah Jr., Timothy Jr. and Tessa.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, his six children, Patricia Untalasco (Fred), Edward Moff, Timothy Moff (Jana), Teresa Macura, Harry Gongloff Jr. (Heather), and Jeremiah Gongloff (Tina), all of Lorain, his sisters, Madeline Johnston and Sue Gongloff, both of Florida, and 47 extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles, mother, Catherine and his brother, Albert Gongloff.
Friends may call Wednesday December 29, 2010 from 5 PM until the time of services at 8 PM at Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 North Ridge Road Sheffield Township (440)324-3371. The Rev. Jay Roller, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Lorain, will officiate.
