Mike Urbanic, born in Lorain, OH, resident of Naples, FL and Bristol, RI, passed away on August 20, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was 66. He has joined his parents, Stella and Charles Urbanic, and is remembered by Joyce (nee Brazina), his wife of 41 years, his daughter Katie, his brother, "Bucky" Urbanic and numerous other family and friends. Mike lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track for Lorain High and Admiral King, and in 2005 was inducted into the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame. He continued his football career at Dartmouth, graduating in '66, then earned an MBA from Cornell in '68 and was stationed in Newport, RI while in the US Navy. He spent 30 years working for Cargill, ending his career as a Corporate Vice President. Mike loved traveling with his wife, fishing, watching his daughter play soccer, solving crossword puzzles, bragging about his son-in-law Dom's hockey games, and making new friends. His sense of humor, positive attitude, breadth of knowledge, selflessness, laughter, love and omelets will be missed by all. We love you Mike.
