Jim Couch helped me both personally and professionally. He was the kind of person and lawyer I admired and he helped others with no desire for accolades or attention for himself. I will miss Jim Couch. He was one of the good guys.

It has been my distinct pleasure to have known Jim both on a personal level as well as a trusted colleague and his presence in the community will truly be missed. He set the standard for practicing law and my deepest condolences go out to his family, fiancee, colleagues and friends as well as all of the clients whom he was able to make such a positive impact on their lives.

Jim and I met in law school. I liked him from the first. Whenever I went into the Lorain County Justice Center I looked for him to say Hi. I will miss him.
