My family lived across the street from the Rebers for many years. My brothers and I were all backyard mechanics and we also knew that Mr. Reber taught the Vocational Automotive class at Admiral King. So whenever we had a problem that we couldn't figure out we went over to see Mr. Reber....and he always came over an got us unstuck. Heck, one time he even came over in his pajamas. He was a heckova good man and will be missed.

Ed was a patient of mine at the cancer center. there was never a time that he didnt come in with his beautiful smile and kind words to make all of us feel so appreciated. i loved caring for him and my heart understands what a void his passing has left in the lives of those who knew and loved him. God bless his family and friends. we know hes in a better place and can continue to smile down on us with warm, loving memories. I will miss you Ed. beth

CRAIG, KIRK AND TODD...I REMEMBER THAT YOUR MOM WOULD SIGN OUR BIRTHDAY OR CHRISTMAS CARDS WITH YOUR NAMES IN THAT ORDER...WHENEVER US SALADINS WOULD SPEAK OF THE THREE OF YOU IT WAS ALWAYS CRAIG, KIRK AND TODD. I LOVED YOUR DAD...HE WAS THE KINDEST MAN. ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HIS FACE. HE BROUGHT YOUR MOM TO HOSPICE WHEN MY MOM WAS THERE AND ALWAYS CALLED AND KEPT UP WITH HOW SHE WAS DOING BEFORE SHE PASSED IN MAY. AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT I STILL VIVIDLY REMEMBER MY FLOWERGIRL PART IN THEIR WEDDING...IT WAS SUCH FUN. MY SINCERE SYMPATHIES TO ALL OF YOU...CRAIG, KIRK AND TODD...AND TO CHERYL.

This news saddens me as Ed was not only one of my best teachers, but nearly a life-long friend. During high school he had his dad employ me at his Shell station where I put the skills he taught me to work for two years. Ed followed my career for the next 45 years as I kept him updated. He attended a presentation I did several years ago regarding doing business in Asia and he had tears in his eyes as he told me how proud he was of me. I talked with Ed and his lovely wife recently at a Friday fish fry and, as always, I came away knowing I've been blessed to have a teacher and friend like Ed. God bless you my friend and may the peace of the Lord be with your family in this time of sadness. We have celebrated Ed's gifts to us all for many years and will continue to do so.
