Ida Marie Naelitz
Ida (nee: Miller) Naelitz, 77, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville.
Ida was born in Lorain on December 26, 1935 to her loving parents, James and Betty (nee: Bader) Miller. She attended Northern Institute of Cosmetology and married Robert Naelitz on May 28, 1952.
Ida was the owner/operator of "Ida Maries Hairport". She was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain and sang in the choir. She was a musician, artist, poet and entertained at area venues, locally and statewide since childhood such as Project Joy, Lorain Community Follies to mention a few.
She is survived by her children, Robert John Jr. (Gale), Debra (Dean) Costa, and Timothy (Carlyn); beloved grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Harold) Dunfee and Mary (Joe) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Naelitz; infant daughter, Anne Marie; parents, James and Betty Miller; and brothers, James and Tom Miller.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Mary Church, 310 8th Street, Lorain, Fr. Daniel O. Divis, Pastor, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
