Carlla Ava Diane Dixon-Bowers LIMA — Carlla Ava Diane Dixon-Bowers, 49, of Lima went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday May 3, 2013. She was born November 2, 1963 in Lorain, Ohio the daughter of Ray E. and Faye (Martin) Dixon. She married Willard G. “Bill” Bowers on November 18, 2002 and he survives. Mrs. Bowers was a district sales manager for Murphy U.S.A.
She previously was a manager at Cracker Barrel and worked at Lerner New York at the Lima Mall.
Carlla began working when she was young at Cedar Point and worked through the ranks of several companies reaching the level of District Manager. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Port Clinton. She enjoyed crafting and she was involved in numerous charity projects.
Surviving are her husband: Bill; parents Ray and Faye Dixon of Berlin Heights; her dogs: Dash, Fred and Larry; step-daughters: Jennifer (Lance) Branum of Sandusky, Rochelle (Timothy) Leskovec of Cleveland; step-grandchildren: Allison Branum, Kelly Branum and Bailey Leskovec; sister: Pamela Doreen (Bradley) Shinn of Findlay; brothers: David E. (Rhea) Dixon of New London, OH, William W. Dixon of Sheboygan, WS; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step-son Willard “Chip” Bowers.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 4650 E. Port Clinton Eastern Rd. Port Clinton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, OH. Interment services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to Grace Baptist Church, 4650 E. Port Clinton Eastern Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
