WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Edward F. Surak, age 73, of Walnut Creek, California, passed away July 6, 2013, following a lengthy illness.
Edward "Ed" was born November 2, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, for over forty years.
He celebrated life to the fullest with both humor and compassion. Over the last three and a half years he immensely enjoyed spoiling his grandchild. Ed lived his life as the best mentor, father, and grandfather a family could ever wish for.
Mr. Surak is survived by his brother Lawrence of Strongsville, Ohio, his son Brad, daughter-in-law Claudia, and granddaughter Sofia of Walnut Creek, California. He is also survived by his daughter Wendy, and daughter-in-law Cheryl of Spokane, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret as well as his parents Edward and Margaret.
Brad and Wendy consider it a great honor to have two amazing role models as parents. In their hearts, Marge and Ed will forever be known as one entity. Their love will forever be the guide with which the family remains strong.
A memorial will be held for close family and amazing friends on what would be Ed and Marge's 51st wedding anniversary June 9, 2014, in Cleveland, Ohio.
