HURON - William Charles Roeser, 66, of Huron died on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 22, 1947, in Sandusky to the late Betty Linz and Elmer Charles Roeser. After graduating from Firelands High School in 1965, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. After the service, he worked as a technician in the natural-gas and heating, ventilation and piping industries, retiring in 2012.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, the Huron Township Conservation Club, the Huron Eagles Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Berlin Township Farmers and Hunters Conservation Club.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; children, Rodger (Lora) Roeser, Sarah (Scott) Arnold, Stephanie (Ryan) Dawson, Marley (Brian) Hastings, and Rudy (Lynette) Berger; and nine grandchildren and sister, Carol Champion.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 8, from 3-6 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron with Rev. Jeffrey McBeth, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter School, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, or the Huron Fire Department Rescue Squad Fund.
