LORAIN - Willie " Wee Willie" F. Cross, 71, of Lorain, pass away on Thursday, October 10,2013 at home following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Cross was born on February 21, 1942 in Somerville, Tenn. and had lived in Lorain since 1970.
He was employed at the Lorain Ford Motor Company for 34 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the UAW Local 425 and former "Exalted Ruler "of Black River Elks Lodge #1752.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years Lucinda (nee Fizer) Cross, sister Dorothy Williams; sons Charles J. Cross, Antron Robinson, daughter –in-law Misty Palmer; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Tommie L Cross, his brothers Luther B. Huthins Sr., and James E. Cross; his sisters Nettie Robinson, and Laura Hamer.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 from 11:00 AM until time of services at 12:00 PM at Compassion Baptist Church 520 west 22nd Street in Lorain, with Reverend Frank Gilchrist, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
