Ann F. Carr
ASHLAND - Ann F. Carr (nee Franklin), age 72, of Ashland and formerly of Lorain, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.
Ann was born in Bahlia, Mississippi to the late Aulvon and Zelma Franklin. She resided in Ohio most of her life. Ann was a member of Eversprings Baptist Church and in her younger years was an active member of the church community. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Her pet Yorkie "Carson" will dearly miss her.
Survivors include her four children; Chris (Keven) Brunger of Lorain, John (Louella) Ray of Oneida, Tennessee, Kelly (Johnie) Conley of Ashland, Brian (Susie) Ray of Oneida, Tennessee; three step-children, Patricia (Kenny) Keisman of Louisville, Kentucky, Michael (Melanie) Carr of Akron, Jennifer Spicer of Vermilion; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters, Janie Parker of Berlin Heights, Carolyn Clark of Robbins, Tennessee, Joy (Jim) Gregory of New London, her brother Harold Franklin of New London, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Carr (2003), her daughter Anita Resko (1979), granddaughter Brandi Resko (1979), son-in-law Russ Resko (1979), and brothers Dewney, Jimmy, and Richard Franklin.
Family will receive friends Saturday, 6-8 p.m., at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. There will be a 7:30 p.m. service at the funeral home with Pastor Howard Crabtree of Eversprings Baptist Church officiating.
