RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Gloria Ann Ferraro, formerly of West Bristol, passed away on October 18 after a lengthy illness. She was 77.
Living in Riverside, Calif. since 1987, she was preceded in death earlier this year by Maurice, her husband of 59 years. She is survived by her 4 sons - Nick (Helen), Rick (Loretta), Tony (Joni), and Jim (Debbie); her brother Frankie Fantin; sisters Loretta Domenico, and Bernie Fischer, as well as 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, she moved to West Bristol with her husband and sons in 1970 where they resided until Maurice was transferred out of state in 1984. She held several jobs over the years but the one she was most devoted to was being a mother and grandmother. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and would journey from California whenever possible to spend time with her sons and their families.
Gloria and Maurice enjoyed traveling after he retired, traveling throughout Italy and Asia and once spending over a month traveling across the United States. They also enjoyed spending time at the beach, attending movies together as well as viewing them at home. Gloria was also an avid reader and enjoyed many an afternoon shopping.
Her family and all who knew her will sadly miss her.
A memorial mass service to celebrate her life and Maurice's will be held at noon on November 16, 2013 at St Thomas Aquinas church in Croydon, PA.
