AMHERST - Daniel Joseph Kramer, 73, of Amherst, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a long illness. |
Born in Lorain, on July 8, 1940, he was the son of Raymond and Elizabeth Kramer, also deceased.
Daniel attended St. Joseph's School in Lorain through the 8th grade and graduated from Lorain High School in June 1958. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic at Imbrogno's Gas Station. Dan was well respected in his profession. He retired due to his health. For the past 15 years he managed the Amherst Village Mobile Home Park.
Dan spent many years being involved with his children's sport activities. They also enjoy camping.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna (Baker); son, Steven (Elizabeth), daughter, Jennifer (Wayne) Duffield, daughter-in-law, Lisa Kramer; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (Bill) Balogh and brother David (Carol) Kramer.
Other than his parents, son, Daniel Jr. preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Andras Crematory and Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway, Lorain. The service will be conducted by Fr. Larry Martello of St. Joseph's Parish, Amherst.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
