ORANGE CITY, Fla. - George D. Shuck, Sr., 84, of Orange City, Fla., formerly of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on December 20, 2013. George was born on June 9, 1929, in Lowe, W. Va., and was the son of the late Corbitt and Daisy (nee Thornton) Shuck.
He had been a machinist at the Lorain Plant of Ford Motor Company retiring in 1993. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
George enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and trap shooting. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by wife Billie (nee Young); sons George (Anna) Shuck, Jr., Rob Shuck; daughters Belinda (Norm) Kernell, Debra Dittmer, Connie Kay; stepdaughter, Bobbi (Kent) Stevens; sister Kathleen Farley; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by former wife Vonda "Bobbie" (nee Barnhouse) and sister Delores Leslie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4 :00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1100 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst, Ohio including a light meal.
