LORAIN - William "Bill" B. Surace, age 60 and a longtime resident of Lorain, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Anchor Lodge in Lorain, after a three-month illness.
Bill was born in Lorain on May 18, 1953, to the late Louis and Ann (nee Sinch) Surace. He was a 1971 graduate of Southview High School in Lorain. Bill was a machinist by trade, and in the past was employed at the former United States Steel Corporation in Lorain, Bettcher Industries in Huron, and most recently at Crane Lear Romec in Elyria. He worked for over 40 years in his trade.
Bill was a Cleveland sports fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving him are his brothers, Bob of Florida and Chuck (Donna) of Lorain; and sister, Mary Ann Robles of Lorain.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela; and brother, David.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. at Andras Crematory & Funeral Home Alternatives, 3900 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
