Eugene R. Brattoli
ELYRIA – Eugene R. Brattoli, 84 years old, of Elyria died on May 11, 2014 at Center Ridge Nursing Home in North Ridgeville following a long illness.
He was born on March 31, 1930 in New Lexington, Ohio and made his home in Elyria since 1943. He was 1948 graduate of Elyria High School & he served with the US Air Force during the
He was a retired Electronics Specialist at Lewis Research Center, NASA, in Cleveland. A member of St. Jude Catholic Church, he was a natural athlete and enjoyed all sports. A lover of animals he had a great sense of humor.
Surviving him are a daughter, Kathy Kent of Oregon and a son Joseph Brattoli of California. Also surviving are sisters, Mary Naymik of Lorain, and Theresa Hardy of N. Ridgeville; brothers, John of Elyria, Tony of Wellington and Martin of North Hills, CA.
Eugene was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Barry, Clara Bishop, brothers, Joseph, Steve, and Dan; and his parents, Michael (1966) and Lucy (nee Petruzzi) (1993) Brattoli.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. followed by mass at 1000 A.M. at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio. The Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, will officiate. Burial with full military honors provided by the
Post 1079 will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
Memorial contributions in his honor, may be made to the Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
