James Leonard Mogg, age 57, of Stevensville, Michigan, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Jim was born on October 31, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of Wilmer and Dorothy (Roehrich) Mogg.
Jim was employed by The Shaw Group, Inc. as a supervisor and site engineer working on nuclear plants all over the United States and even in South Africa. He was a member of the Michigan Carpenter Union Local 277. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions, collecting sports cards, and especially enjoyed going to casinos.
Survivors include Jim's children, James Jacob and Stephanie Mogg of Gibsonville, North Carolina and Jennifer Jeanne and Ricky Bowes of Graham, North Carolina. His mother, Dorothy Jeanne Roehich of Alma, Michigan; two grandchildren, Samuel Mogg and Asher Jordan Bowes; his companion, Cindy Rice of Mishawaka, Indiana; a bother, Steve and Marie Mogg of Howard City, Michigan; a niece, Julie Bateson of Bradner, Ohio; and nephew, David Mogg of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer.
A Service Celebrating Jim's Life will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. from Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Jim's son, James J. Mogg officiating. Interment will follow the ceremony in Denver Township Cemetery. Friends will gather with the family on Monday from 12 Noon until time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan in Jim's memory. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
