Violet C. Rennert of Frankenmuth, MI, formerly of Monroe, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at Independence Village in Frankenmuth at the age of 87.

Violet Hanna was born August 24, 1923 in Brooklyn N.Y. She was married to Aldea Rennert for 63 years; he preceded her in death on October 29, 2003. Violet was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Monroe, MI; she then transferred to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church upon moving to Frankenmuth.
Surviving are six children; Doreen (Norman) Christensen of Mt. Pleasant, Al (Kathleen) Rennert of Frankenmuth, Joyce Rennert of Frankenmuth, Richard Rennert, Catherine (Michael) Brondos of Littleton, Colorado, and Jerry (Nancy) Rennert of Phoenix, AZ., 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Harold Hanna of Monroe, and many nieces and nephews.
Violet was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard Hanna and Delmar Hanna and one grandson, Ryan Rennert.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 24, 2011 at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Rev. Joel C. Kaiser will officiate with cremation to follow. Violets family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. and on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Bethesda Group Home in Frankenmuth.
