George N. White Sr., 78, of Pittsburg, passed away at 12:10 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2018, at Via Christi Hospital.
He was born September 12, 1939, at Pittsburg, KS, the son of Gordon G. and Aline (Griffith) White.
On May 12, 1956, he was united in marriage to Barbara (Beckley) White at Miami, OK. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2014.
Mr. White worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by one son, George White Jr. of Pittsburg, one daughter, Aline Edwards of Branson, MO, eight grandchildren, George White III, Crystal McCabe, Bobbie Kellogg, Kisha Johns, April Edwards, Kristen Williams, Ray Edwards, and Angel Akers, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara White, his parents, and one son, Gordon Earl White.
A graveside service for Mr. White is set for 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2018, at the Crocker Cemetery, with Reverend Jim Sukraw conducting the service. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Friends may call at the Brenner Mortuary from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, to sign the register book. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
