Arthur M. "Tim" Fields, 79 of Pittsburg passed away Saturday evening at the Golden Living Center of Pittsburg from congestive heart failure.
He was born April 3, 1935, in Pittsburg, Kansas to John and Eva (Hay) Fields. He has lived in Pittsburg most of his life. He was in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He then worked for Harvest Brand for 35 year, part of that time he was production supervisor.
After he retired from Harvest Brand he worked as a Security Guard for the Water Treatment Plant of Pittsburg.
He was baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Faith.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, Marjorie; 1 daughter: Debbie Messer, Frontenac; 2 sons: Tim of Pittsburg and Dan of Girard; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 6 brothers: Bill Fields, Terry Fields, Larry Fields, Fred Fields, Mark Fields, John Fields; and 2 sisters: Trish Victor and Joyce Mishmash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Fields; an infant, Bobby Lee; 2 brothers: Wayne Fields and Howard Fields; 3 sisters: Lavone Thompkins, Margaret Fossey, June Dougherty; and a son, David.
Graveside services will be 10am, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with John Victor officiating. Burial will follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8 pm Wednesday evening.
