Larry Ellsworth Jent(1952 - 2013)

Larry Ellsworth Jent 60, of Arma, KS died 7:20pm August 30, 2013 at his home following an illness.
Larry was born December 8, 1952 in Joplin, MO the son of James E. and Leona Florene (Crum) Jent. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Mary's Colgan High School. He later attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. Larry was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.
On March 17, 1986 Larry married Karen Wilderman in Miami, OK; she survives at the home.
Larry worked as a Railroad Personal Transporter for Kansas City Southern; Gulf Chemical; Yellow Transit and later a Pool Hall Operator.
Larry was of the Christian Faith; enjoyed playing baseball; was an avid Royal Fan and was widely known as a gifted athlete.
Survivors include his wife; children Cassie Jent of Pittsburg, KS and Casey Jent of Pittsburg, KS; stepchildren Dustin Blair of Frontenac, KS and Danielle Lemmon of Frontenac, KS; siblings Dallas Reynolds of Joplin, MO and Beverly Reynolds of Joplin, MO; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be 6pm Friday September 6, 2013 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating.
