Mary Evelyn (Bills) Snyder(1937 - 2014)

Mary Evelyn Snyder 77, of Pittsburg, KS died 11:19am Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL following a sudden illness.
Born March 7, 1937 in Friendswood, TX the daughter of Carl Watson and Lois Maureen (Dillon) Bills, Mary lived in the Pittsburg and Frontenac area from 2002 until 2014 before moving to Illinois with her daughter. Prior to living in the Pittsburg area she resided in Northbranch, KS and Burr Oak, KS.
Mary attended school at Friends University in Wichita, KS.
On September 30, 1978 Mary married Lester Leroy Snyder in Haviland, KS; he preceded her in April 2010.
Mary attended the First Nazarene Church in Pittsburg, KS; she loved crocheting, walking, her grandchildren, singing, bible studies and her Christian friends and family.
Survivors include her children Debbie Baker of Wichita, KS, Rhonda Smith and husband Brian of Loveland, CO, Laura Handshy and husband Chad of Springfield, IL, Sandra Harris and husband Roy of Indiana and Anita Thorne and husband Kim of Indiana; siblings Ruth Stahl and husband Ken of Strong City, KS and David Bills and wife Jean of Greensboro, NC, numerous nieces and nephews and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband and children Patricia Hendrickson and Paul Snyder.
Memorial Services will be 2pm Saturday June 7, 2014 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Jim Sukraw and Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the First Church of the Nazarene.
