Steven Anderson Endicott(1948 - 2013)

Steven Anderson Endicott, 65, of Cherokee, KS, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born June 6, 1948, at Pittsburg, KS, the son of James Anderson and Pearl May (Callaway) Endicott.
Mr. Endicott attended local schools and graduated from College High School in 1966. Steve proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1970. After the Army he graduated from Pittsburg State University.
He was united in marriage to Cynthia A. Boyer on March 21, 2011, in Oklahoma. She survives at the home.
Mr. Endicott was a cabinet maker and a carpenter. He worked for Pittsburg USD #250 and then Pittsburg State University. Steve loved to fish. He also loved to spend time with family and his grandson Damien.
Membership was held in the St. Peters Episcopal Church.
In addition to his wife, Cynthia, he is survived by a daughter, Holly Kristina of Missouri; two step-sons, Rob Storey of Kansas and R. Glenn Storey of Kansas; a brother, Dennis Endicott and his wife Judy of Montgomery, AL, and a sister-in-law, Wanda Endicott of Mindenmines, MO; six grandchildren, Damien J. Endicott of the home, Jacob Beltz, Alexander Storey, Tyler Storey, Kameryn Storey and Zachary Storey and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his extended family Amy Storey of Kansas, Shannon OíBanion of Missouri, and Danielle, Bailey, Jeyda Lemmon of Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother LeRoy ìButchî Endicott, several aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (December 12) at the St. Peters Episcopal Church with Father William Wolff officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Endicott's cremains will be interred at the Timmons Chapel Columbarium on the Pittsburg State University campus at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the charity of the familyís choice. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
