Jo Ann (Siegler) Allen Obituary
Jo Ann Allen, 54, of Girard, died at 2:50 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas where she entered earlier in the day.
She was born November 22, 1959 in San Diego, California, a daughter of Bobby Glen and Patsy Louise (Paul) Siegler. She grew up and attended schools in California.
Jo Ann married William Jimmy Allen on May 18, 1985 in the First Presbyterian Church in Girard, Kansas. He survives of the home.
She was a homemaker and she worked at Bill's Dollar Store in Girard and at the Resource Center for Independent Living in Iola, Kansas.
Jo Ann enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing, and camping.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, William Jimmy Allen, of the home, are a son, William Jimmy Glen Allen and his fiancée Whitney West of Frontenac, Kansas; daughters Sharon Katrina Roberson and her husband Ryan of Joplin, Missouri and Bonnie Marie Engberg and her husband Rico of Joplin; step-son Randall Baker and his wife Sharon McKnight-Baker of Carl Junction, Missouri; grandchildren Kaitlyn Threlfall, Dakota Baker, Brandi Threlfall, Sierra Baker, Shelby Threlfall, Aundria Baker, Jenteal Engberg, Emily Allen, and Raiden Engberg; step-mother Peggy Brackett of Girard; brothers Jack Brackett and Jim Brackett, both of Stockton, California and Michael Brackett of Independence, Kansas; sisters Kathy Brackett of South lake Tahoe, California; Bobby Stewart of Wichita Falls, Texas; Carla Allen and Shelly Pruitt, both of San Angelo, Texas.
Memorial graveside services and a family visitation will be held at a later date.
Service arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard.
