Alma May Bork Obituary
Alma M. Bork, 104, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died Friday, February 21, 2014. She was born to Milton and Nellie (Broadhearst) Hopper, July 7, 1909, in Mindenmines, Missouri. She grew up and graduated from high school in Mindenmines.
She was married to Eddie A. Bork, November 19, 1927, in Carthage, Missouri. They lived in Frontenac, Kansas with only brief periods of living in Kansas City, Missouri and San Diego, California in the early years of marriage. They had one son, Jerry M. Bork.
Alma was a homemaker who was an excellent cook and took pleasure in caring for her home and family. She moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 2002 to be near her son.
Survivors include her son and wife, Jerry and Marilou Bork, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, who died on June 20, 1992, her parents, 2 sisters, Stella (Hopper) Ashbacher and Betty Jean (Hopper) Miller.
A graveside service will be held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Pittsburg, Kansas at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 with Rev. Doug Amend of the First Christian Church at Girard, Kansas officiating.
