Mary Patricia "Pat" Larsen Obituary
Mary "Pat" Patricia Larsen, 80, of McCune, died at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul where she entered in January of 2013.
She was born December 26, 1933 at Walnut, a daughter of Milton and Margaret (Stephans) McClintick. Mary grew up and attended schools in Walnut, graduating from Walnut High School.
Mary married Eugene C. Larsen on December 27, 1968 in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.
She worked as a receptionist at Jayhawk and Hartford Insurance Agencies in Prairie Village and in Kansas City, Missouri.
They lived in Indiana for 5 years before moving to California in 2001 and then to the McCune area in 2009.
Mary enjoyed her family, gardening and growing flowers, and her animals.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Greenbush and when St. Aloysius was closed due to a fire, she transferred her membership to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Walnut. When St. Patrick's was closed, she transferred her membership to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Girard.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Gene, of the home, are a daughter, Stephanie Kennedy and her husband Jim of Murrieta, California; her grandsons Houston and Joseph; a brother, Joe McClintick of Walnut; her sisters Thelma McClintick of Walnut, Pauline Bloomcamp of Brazilton, and Marylin Miller of Shawnee, Kansas.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Donald McClintick, and a sister Mildred McClintick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul with Fr. David Michael as Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery at Greenbush. The Parish Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Sunday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in St. Paul with Fr. Richard Crager as Celebrant. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Sunday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home where the family will receive friends following the Rosary.
