Jeffrey A. Hay Obituary
ARMA - Jeffrey A. Hay, 53, of Arma, Kansas, died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Hay was born Oct. 31, 1959, at Pittsburg, Kan., the son of Harold william and Phyllis Marie Pentola Hay. Jeff had worked for Superior, Masonite Premdor, Randy Vilela, J.C. Penney's Automotive, and Firestone. He lived in the Kansas City and Arma area most of his life. He was raised in Kansas City, Kan., and graduated from Wyandotte High School. He later attended Kansas City, Kansas Junior College. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and liked blues and jazz music. He married Julie White in 1980. They later divorced. He was a member of the Arma United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jason (Tara) Hay and Jeremy Hay, both of Arma; his mother, Phyllis Hay of Arma; a brother, Harold Joe (Gaye) Hay of Arma; a grandson, Jayse William Hay of Arma; and his companion, Sally Barnes of Arma. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold William Hay.
Jeff has been cremated according to his wishes. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Arma United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenn Duderstadt officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the family to help with final expenses.
