Thomas Paul Pollom Obituary
Thomas Paul Pollom, 68, left to be with The Lord at the close of the day on July 31st. Surrounded by the love of his family, the Angels came to return him to his Father. He is now at peace.

He was born on December 4th, 1945 in Brazil, Indiana to Irvin Charles and Delorus Swanson Pollom.

Tom married the love of his life, Linda Lee Ames, on October 26th, 1968 in New Haven, IN. They made their life in Indiana and moved to Kansas in 1982. Tom and Lin traveled to Cambodia and Haiti for various short term missionary works in service to Christ. Previous to retirement, they lived in Orlando, Florida for fifteen years.

Tom and Lin served Christ through Conway United Methodist Church, Evangel Assembly of God in Orlando and Open Door Fellowship in Pittsburg, and many other ministries. Tom and Lin retired and had dual residence in Florida and Kansas to be near family. Tom was known for his outgoing sense of humor and his fun-loving spirit. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching them grow. Tom's mission in life was to serve The Lord.

Tom and Lin were blessed with four beautiful children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who survive him: three daughters Brenda and husband Bryan Main, Barbara and husband Gene Wilson, and Monica and husband Chris LaForte, all of Pittsburg; one son Luke and wife Miranda Pollom of Orlando, FL; nine grandchildren: Brittney and husband Kane McCready, Brandee and Brooke Main, Thomas and Abby Wilson, Donald and Andrew LaForte, and Mackenzie and Jackson Pollom; two great-grandchildren Jace and Braelyn McCready. He is also survived by sister-in-laws Georgia and husband Bob Broughton, Laurie and husband Gary Stevens, Judy Ames, and brother-in-law Phillip and wife Therese Ames, as well as many honorary children and grandchildren.

Tom was the tenth of twelve children; he is survived by two sisters Victoria Yoacam and Valena Snowden; and three brothers Mike, Jim, and Rick Pollom. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Charles, John, and Richard Pollom; and sisters LaDonna Erwin, Elizabeth Osborn, and Penelope Knapp.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, August 6th, at Open Door Fellowship. According to Tom's wishes he has been cremated. Condolences may be left at www.brennermortuary.com or brought by or mailed to Open Door Fellowship, Benevolence Fund, at 918 W 20th Street, Pittsburg, KS. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
