Scott Charles Hammonds, 43, died unexpectedly at his home in Pittsburg on July 24, 2014. He was born August 11, 1971, in Parsons, KS, to Raemae Lee (Stewart) Hammonds and Darrel Hammonds of McCune, KS. He is survived by brothers, Gary McGown (Cheryl) and Steven McGown (Anita) both of McCune; sisters, Karen McFarland (Steve) of Pittsburg, KS; Chris Hammonds and Angie Hammonds, both of Pittsburg; and Paula Scott (Joe) of Olathe, KS; an aunt, Maxine Engler, of Pittsburg, who helped care for him; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased relatives are his parents; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Helen Stewart; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Susie Hammonds.
As was his choice, he has been cremated.
