BONNIE K. WEATHERHEAD Born: May 9, 1957; In Morris Died: April 20, 2014; In Joliet Bonnie K. Weatherhead (nee Hall), age 56, of Braceville, IL, passed away with her family by her side, Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet, IL following a two year battle with sarcoma. Born May 9, 1957, in Morris, IL. Bonnie was a member of the Phelan Acres Bible Church in Wilmington, IL. Surviving are her husband, Keith Weatherhead, whom she married March 19, 1977, in Wilmington; five children, Jamie Higgins of Braceville, Katie Weatherhead of Braceville, Jacob (Kori) Weatherhead of Coal City, IL, Kayla Weatherhead of Braceville, and Tyler Weatherhead of Braceville; two grandchildren, Alexis and Rachael Higgins; her mother, Lois (nee Finch) Hall; mother-in-law, Nancy Weatherhead of Lombard, IL; one brother, Ricky (Pam) Hall of Custer Park, IL; three sisters, Jeanne Leranger of Coal City, Donna Buza of Braidwood, IL, and Debra (Frank) Halpin of South Wilmington, IL; and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her father, Duain Hall. According to Bonnie's wishes, her remains were donated to science for medical research. A memorial service will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory, Braidwood Chapel, Thursday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Rodney Chappell will officiate. Visitation will also be Thursday, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her name may be directed to the Stand up for Bonnie fund at any Standard Bank branches or the Phelan Acres Bible Church.
