Jason "Bubba" Lawford Obituary
Jason M. Lawford Born: Aug. 9, 1976 Died: Jan. 7, 2014 Jason M. Lawford "Bubba" came into this world on August 9, 1976 in Naperville, Illinois, the son of Donald and Linda (Siever) Lawford, and went on to a new adventure and pain free world unexpectedly on January 7, 2014. Jason grew up in Westmont Illinois but had lived and proudly worked for the Grundy County Sheriff 's Department for the last 16 years (as a correctional officer). Jason 's unique take on life and colorful verbage will always be remembered and was one of his endearing qualities. He loved spending time riding his motorcycle, especially with this wife, touring this great country of ours and participating in Welcome Home rides for military vets as a member of American Legion Post 294 Riders. He also loved to tinker around with his hands; although he didn 't "know a lot about one thing, he knew a little bit of everything" and was always excited to help build or fix things and always eager to learn and share. He enjoyed spending time talking with family, friends, and new acquaintances and was always willing to help anyone with anything at any time. Jason was a loyal, genuine person to those het met. He was very supportive of all military veterans and was a dedicated and proud lover of America. He leaves behind the love his life, Rhonda (Andrae) Lawford, with whom he spent 18 years; his best furbuddy, Tonka and his brother, Tyke; along with his "little" girls, Stormy Sue and Grace Ann. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Linda Lawford of Sandwich; brother, Todd (Beth) Lawford of Lisle; and step-brother, Donny Koteles of Hinsdale. He also leaves behind his nephews, Justin (Jacqui) Bauer and Colton Bauer, whom he was so proud of, and held such love and respect for; his nephew and God Son, Benny Lawford, whom he loved dearly and looked forward to teaching how to ride a motorcycle, and his great nephews, Troy and Ronnie Bauer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home located at 301 W. Washington Street, Morris, Illinois. A memorial service to celebrate Jason 's life will be offered at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Larson officiating from the First Baptist Church. Cremation rites will be accorded. Preferred memorials may be made in Jason 's name to The Wounded Warrior Project or to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with U.C.
