Richard L. Brown Born: Nov. 3, 1958; Alexandria, VA Died: January 7, 2014; Morris, IL Richard L. Brown, age 55, passed away in Morris, on January 7, 2014. Born in Alexandria, Virginia on November 3, 1958, he was the son of the late John Rousseau Brown and the late Caroline Logan Boyd. Richard served in the United States Navy for eleven years, and served on the USS Salt Lake City and USS Alaska and was qualified for command of a nuclear submarine. He was currently working at Exelon Nuclear as a Cycle Planner. Richard enjoyed old movies, especially Westerns, classic rock, and football. His greatest joy and love were his children. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Brown of Florida, Melissa Brown of Texas; and his son, Michael Brown of Texas; his sister, Martha Lee Loy of Hawaii; his brothers in law, Carl Ross Schneider of Florida and Blaise Lee Loy of Hawaii; and his nieces and nephews, Caroline Ann of Ohio, Lisa of St. Croix, and Skip of Ohio; and Lani, Robert, and Daniel of Hawaii. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John Rousseau Brown and Caroline Logan Boyd; and sister, Micky Schneider. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, located at 301 W. Washington Street, Morris. A Celebration of Richard 's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home. Military honors will be performed by the Morris Color Guard outside the funeral home immediately following the services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Cards of condolences, flowers, or donations may be sent in Richard 's name to the family at, 1484 Mollie Drive, Morris, IL 60450. Arrangements have been entrusted with U.C.
