"Jerry," age 60, of Morris, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Jerry was born in Joliet, the son of the late Donald and Phyllis (Bull) Carlson. He was raised in Lisbon, IL and resided in Morris the past 20 years. He was a graduate of Newark High School, Class of 1976. Jerry retired from the Operating Engineers Union Local #150 in 2016 following 28 years of service. He enjoyed the fact that he was a lifelong farmer. Jerry was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Morris. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will greatly miss him, vacationing in Longboat Key, FL and was a lifelong Chicago Bears and White Sox Fan.

Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Cindy (Cain) Carlson of Morris; his son, Marcus (Susie) Stuckey of Morris; his six grandchildren, Megan (Aric) Rohlfing, Dani (Dan Campbell) Malfatti, and Damon, Trevor, Samara and Olivia Stuckey; four great-grandchildren, Kailey, Ethan, Sylvanas and Iris; siblings, Patsy (Rich) Knudson of Longboat Key, FL, Don (Sue) Carlson of Newark, Rudell Bullis of Morris, Wayne (Connie) Carlson of Morris, Sandy (Nels) Walker of Booneville, IN and Gail (Kelly) Hussey of Morris; his mother-in-law, Norma Cridge of Morris; sisters-in-law, Deb Carlson of Lisbon, and Terri Cain of Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded by his parents; daughter, Michelle Stuckey-Grogg (2013); brother, David Carlson (2007); niece, Lori Carlson (1983); father-in-law, Donald Cain (2000); and brother-in-law, Rick Cain (2008).

Funeral services and interment will be held privately. The family will receive all relatives and friends for a visitation on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the wishes of the family to be distributed at their discretion would be appreciated.
