Richard A. Larsen, 69, of Morris, passed away Friday afternoon, August 17, 2018 at Morris Hospital with his family by his side.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21st from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris with Pastor Patrick Lohse officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Born March 18, 1949 in Morris, he was the son of Clifford and Florence (Danielson)Larsen. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1967. He also attended Northern Illinois University. He served in the U.S. National Guard for six years. Rich married Linda Fruland on March 28, 1970 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and they lived all of their married life in Morris. He graduated from the apprenticeship of I.B.E.W., a journeyman electrician, he owned his own business, Larsen Electric and Data System for 35 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda of Morris; his children, Todd (Rhonda) Larsen, Chad (Tiffany) Larsen and Gregory (Jill) Larsen all of Morris; six grandchildren, Justin, Alyssa, Drew, Emily, Emma and Kamden; one sister, Carol Stephens of Morris; one brother, Duane (Margaret) Larson of Plainfield; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Larsen of Seneca and Bette Larsen of TN; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Wesley and Larry Larsen.

He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Morris Country Club.

Rich was an avid Chicago White Sox and Morris Redskins fan, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. His family was his number one priority. He never missed an event for his children or grandchildren.
