Robert "Bob" L. Sjostrom, 86, of Morris, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born January 30, 1932 in Morris, he was the son of the late Carl G. and Ethel V. (Weathers) Sjostrom.

Bob was educated in Morris schools. He married Dolores P. "Dolly" Sours on November 7, 1975 in Morris. Bob was employed with the Morris Paper Mill for 26 1/2 years until their closing and then with Apollo Colors in Rockdale for 16 years, retiring in 1997.

He loved flower gardens and enjoyed spending time with Mother Nature. Bob was a former member of the Morris Moose Lodge #967. He was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Morris.

Survived by his loving wife, Dolly; children, Kristie (Rod) Frisby of Rock Hill, SC, Linda (Gordon) Hatteberg of Morris, Pamela (Rick) Hall of Custer Park, IL, Kathleen (Steve) Farrero of Coal City, Dennis (Debby) Brown and Dee (Bud) Hainzinger, both of Morris; daughter-in-law, Colleen Sjostrom; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by his parents; son, John Sjostrom; daughter, Roberta Lynn (Joe) Chitwood; grandson, Lonnie Chitwood; sisters, Margaret Anderson Stoltz and Helen (Walter) Lumpp; four brothers, Carl, Arthur, Richard and John; and his first wife, Lorraine Bottomley.

Visitation was held 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2018 at First Christian Church of Morris, followed by a Celebration of Bob's Life at 5:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Todd Thomson. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Preferred memorials may be made to Bob's family for disbursement to their choice of charity at a later date.
