Died: May 9, 2018; in Morris, IL

William R. "Billy" Roe, 53, of Mazon, passed away Wednesday morning, May 9, 2018 at the Morris Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris with Rev. Edward J. Howe, CR officiating. Inurnment will follow in Ward Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in Morris.

Born December 8, 1964 in Warner Robins, Georgia, he was the son of William and Joyce(Sohan) Roe. He graduated from Mazon High School. He married Darla Yard on May 9, 2013 in Colorado and they lived all of their married life in Mazon. For several years he was employed at Homes By Homes Construction in Morris.

He is survived by his wife, Darla of Mazon; his mother, Joyce Roe of Morris; seven children, Sarah Roe of Morris, Lauren Roe of Chicago, Katie (Adam) Seidler of Morris ,Jeremy Enger of Morris, Mark Yard of Morris, Christopher (Katie) Yard of Dwight and Riley Yard of Mazon; three grandchildren; two sisters, Patty (Bret) Jackson of Buford, Georgia and Kathy (Peter) Rink of Morris; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, William on April 10, 2018; one brother in infancy.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Area No. 1 Club and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 967. Billy enjoyed boating, camping, water skiing, fishing, playing cards and loved his dogs.

Memorials may be directed to the Grundy Community Hospice or Moose International.
