William "Bill" Puttick, age 85 of Delaware, died Sunday afternoon March 30, 2014 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
He was born on April 27, 1928 in Columbus to the late James Sr. and Mary (Wilson) Puttick. Bill was retired from Abbott, formerly Ross Labs, with 34 years of service retiring in 1990.
Bill was a loving son, brother and a great uncle. He enjoyed his time spent with his family and friends. He watched wrestling and the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed bowling on a league in his younger years.
Bill is survived by brother: Harry (Jean) Holmes of Ashley; sister: Mary Steck of Delaware; sister-in-law: Inez Puttick of Marengo; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Hugh (Jean), James Jr.(Katy), George; sister: Elizabeth "Bibs" (Chet) Edwards.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 73 W. Walnut, Marengo where services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. with Pastors Mark Puttick and Andy Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses at PO Box 238, Sunbury, Ohio 43074.
