Claude E. Curren, age 80, of Ashley died Monday October 7, 2013 at his home. He was born March 5, 1933 in Morrow County to the late Coy and Violet ( Hartpence ) Curren.
Claude was a graduate of Elm Valley High School and still worked at Evolution Ag. (formerly Buckeye Tractor) as a farm technician. He was a member of the Morrow County Antique Tractor Association and an avid tractor collector. His pride and joy was his 1949 Co-Op tractor, but his constant companion was his beloved springer spaniel dog Max.
On December 25, in Morrow County, Claude married the former Martha A. Hindman and she preceded him in death on May 17, 2013.
Claude is survived his two sons; Joe (Debby) Curren of Daytona Beach, FL. and Mike (Kim) Curren of Ashley; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob (Loree) Curren of Marengo.
In addition to his parents and wife, Claude was preceded in death by his daughter Vicky Curren and sister Delores Camp.
Friends may call Thursday Oct. 10, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Claude will be buried in the Ashley Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Claude's memory to the Nationwide Children's Hospital in care of the Gompf Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of Claude's passing. I worked with him for many years at Buckeye Tractor and I am sure that he will be greatly missed. God be with you all.
