Emily L. Armstrong, age 84 of Fulton, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2013 at her home. She was born January 30, 1929 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Harry A. and Edith (Headley) Feick.
Emily was a devoted wife to her husband, Joe Armstrong. They were married on December 25, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2011.
Little Em is what Fulton residents called her. She never thought cancer would ever get her although she fought gallantly while on Hospice of Morrow County. Emily always put other first and will be missed by all.
Emily enjoyed watching NASCAR and never missed a race, she also enjoyed her flowers. She retired from Encore Plastics in Mount Gilead.
Emily is survived by six children; Daughter, Nan ((Michael) Ostrom, Cardington, Daughter, Connie (John) Criswell, Marengo, Son, Earl Armstrong, Fulton, Son, Darrell (Barb) Armstrong, Delaware, Daughter, Emily (David) Westfield, Fredericktown, and Son, William Armstrong, Mt. Gilead; thirteen grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sister-in-laws; numerous nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Fulton Cemetery. Pastor Gary Lamb-Hart will officiate.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Fairview United Methodist Church or Hospice of Morrow County.
