Glenn T. "Ted" Kerns Jr, 66, of Zanesville passed away May 1, 2014 at his residence with family at his side. He was born July 20, 1947 in Monongahela, PA, a son of the late Glenn T. and Elizabeth Morton Kerns.
Graduating in 1965 from Monessen High School, PA, Ted then graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. Degree and received a Masters in Administration from Bowling Green State University. Throughout his career, he was a principal in Cardington-Lincoln Local Schools, at Bluffton Elementary and was President of T/R Residential Care Facilities for 30 years. He enjoyed many entrepreneurial adventures, travel and vacations with family and friends. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rayma J. Roberts whom he married February 1, 1969 in Monessen, PA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Keith (Mary) Kerns of Bexley and daughter Maura (Steve) Mantell of Dresden; one granddaughter Dagne Mantell; 3 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law, 11 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Hornack and Geraldine Nagy and one brother-in-law.

Visitation will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Sunday May 4, 2014 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am Monday May 5, 2014 in the Snouffer Chapel with his Brother-in-law Rev. Howard Greenfield officiating.
