C. Jeannette Sebring, 74, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, November 9, 2013 at Samaritan Regional Health System.

Jeannette was born February 19, 1939 in Mount Gilead, Ohio to the late Leonard and Thelma (nee Feasel) Wigton. She has been a resident of Ashland since 1993 moving here from Mansfield, Ohio.
Jeannette was a homemaker but entered the workforce when she was 30 years old. She was a store manager for the J.C. Penney Store while it was on Park Ave. West and later was manager of the store at the Richland Mall. She had since retired.
She had been a member of the Baptist Church while living in Mount Gilead, Ohio. In 1990 she won the TWIN Award for Todays Women in Industry.
She enjoyed sewing and doing embroidery work, especially baby blankets and quilts. She also enjoyed doing ceramics, swimming, softball games, and had been on bowling leagues when she was younger. As a child she had won many Spelling B's in elementary and junior high school.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Michelle Murphy of Ashland; one son, Michael (Pat) Sebring of Watkinsville, GA; four grandchildren, Megan Sebring and Taylor Sebring, Chad Murphy and Nathan Sebring Murphy; two brothers, Tony Wigton of Columbus, OH; Terry Wigton of Owensboro, KY, and her aunt, Opal Davis of Columbus, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Max Sebring Jr. and one brother Butch Wigton.
A memorial service will be held this Friday, November 15, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Futrell officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
