Larry Keith Harrah, age 61, of Mount Gilead, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 20, 212.
Larry was born in Ansted, West Virginia, on September 21, 1951. He was the son of the late David Harrah and Christine Rose Simms. After he graduated from high school, Larry was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country for 2 years during the Vietnam War. Larry then worked in Reno, Nevada at a casino where he worked as a dealer.
Those who knew Larry knew him to be sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed following his favorite teams including the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was also a member of several clubs including the V.F.W., the American Legion and the AmVets.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Toby and Nicole Cline; grandchildren: Brody, Elijah, Owen and Leif; Step-father Jim Jones; and siblings: Bev (Jack) Miller and Mike (Sharon) Harrah.
Services will be held privately by the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morrow County Veterans Services and Hospice of Morrow County, and they may be sent to the care of the funeral home.
