Robert "Bob" Adams, Sr. of Willis, Texas (formerly of Cardington, Ohio) passed away Wednesday morning, November 28, 2012 peacefully at his sister's home in Mount Gilead. He was born on November 23, 1953 in Ashley, Ohio to the late Richard Clyde Adams and Annie Marie (Hatten) Adams-Scott of Mount Gilead who survives.
Bob was a graduate of Highland High School, Class of 1972. He worked as a machinist for Hagglunds-Bosch and True Sports-Bobby Rahal. He was a member of the Ark Church in Conroe, Texas; was an avid fisherman and Harley Davidson enthusiast.
In addition to his mother Bob is survived by his son, Robert (Amie) Adams, Jr., Cardington; daughter Joy (Charles D) Van Voorhis, Marion; brother Richard "Rick" Adams, Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Martha (Dan) Osborne, Mount Gilead; Marlene Pachl, Butler; step-sister, Rebecca Pacheco; grandchildren, Zackery, Morgan and Kayla Adams; Dustin and Jacob Van Voorhis; three great grandchildren and former wife, Victoria Adams of Marion.
In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by his step-father, Roger Scott.
Friends and family may call Friday, November 30, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gompf Funeral Service, 440 South Center Street Cardington, Ohio with Graveside Services being held Saturday morning December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., at the Alum Creek Friends Cemetery, on SR 229, Marengo with Pastor Chris Plough, Marnatha Bible Church officiating.
