Terry L. Steck, age 64 of Marengo, died Sunday March 31, 2013 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born on October 5, 1948 in Mount Vernon to the late Howard and Cleo (James) Snow. Graduate of Highland High School class of 1966 and she maintained perfect attendance from K-12. She was a member of the Chesterville United Methodist Church, OHAA, and USTA. She was a retired dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Morrow and Delaware Counties. Terry had also driven bus for High School District, owned and operated Family Pizza Shop in Marengo in the 70's and 80's and owned race horses.
Terry loved to cook and make delicious meals for her everybody and was known for her Texas sheet cake. Terry also loved horse racing, going on cruises with family and friends, camping at the Morrow and Delaware County Fairs, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Terry also was named Dispatcher of the Year for the State Patrol. If anyone needed anything and you asked Terry chances are if you could buy it at WalMart she would have it in her purse.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Robert "Bob" Steck and they were married November 5. 1968; sons: Ron (Kila) Steck, Randy (Michele) Steck; daughter: Rhonda (Bryan) Damron all of Marengo; grandchildren: Hunter, Ryder, Bryston, Harlee, Parker, Bailey, Brooklyn, Ranger; brothers: Carroll Snow of Fredericktown, Harold (Barbara) Snow of Mount Vernon.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. and interment will follow in the Marengo Cemetery.
