Linda Kay Denman, age 69, of Mount Gilead, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning, March 12, 2014 at her home with her loving family.

On March 9, 1945, Linda was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, one of three children of the late Lewis W. and Brenice Dawn (Townsend) Smith. She was raised in Mount Gilead and graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the class of 1963.

Finding her one true love of her life, Linda married Charles William Denman on August 12, 1972, and she was devoted to him making sure she took good care of him from that day on. They had a love like no other and were inseparable for nearly 40 years, and they lovingly raised four children.

A woman of strong faith, Linda was an active member of the Harmony Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School teacher as well as a Bible School teacher.

Linda worked at Logan's Potato Farm for many years and she loved her job. She also was a caregiver for her daughter Christina for many years. Linda went on to work for American Nursing where she was a caregiver for others. She made aprons for the Der Dutchman in Bellville. She was a wonderful seamstress from making clothes for her children and others, wedding dresses, stuffed animals, Barbie clothes and so much more. She also entered sewing projects in the fair.

A very tender hearted and loving woman, she always had a smile for everyone. Linda will forever be remembered for her devotion to the Lord, her Church, and her Family.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Elizabeth (Dave Grant) Kuhn of Bellville, Katherine (Jeremy) Schwartz of Mount Gilead, Charles Matthew Denman of Mount Gilead; five grandchildren: Samantha Denman, Bryanna Postell, Brock Denman, Jordon Postell, and Alec Kuhn; one sister and brother in law, Vickie (Mike) McKinney; three brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws, Dave and Patti Denman, Jerry Denman, Michael and Teresa Denman, Patricia Taylor, and Mary Lou and Gerald Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to her niece, Lynn Marie Denman. She was a true blessing during the end of Linda's journey.

Including her parents Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Denman; her daughter, Christina Dawn Webb; and her baby sister, Patricia Dawn Smith.

The Denman family will greet friends on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main Street, Mount Gilead.
