Margie A. Burns, 50, of Johnsville, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 in The Ohio State University Medical Center.
The daughter of Ralph and Sylvia (Keen) Meadows, Margie was born March 29, 1962 in Mt. Gilead.
For years she worked for numerous nursing homes as a nurse's aide.
A talented writer, Margie expressed herself through poetry. She was a loving grandma, often spoiling her grandkids. Margie enjoyed family cookouts and holiday parties. A talented photographer, she took hundreds of pictures. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and jig saw puzzles as well. Margie loved all animals, especially her English Mastiff.
A "mom" to many, family and friends were always welcome.
Margie attended North Woodbury Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Gene Burns of Johnsville; daughter Roxy Tiller and her fiancé, Josh Barnett, both of Hilliard; son Rob Tiller of Johnsville; mother Sylvia Meadows of Johnsville; step children Ginger (Mike) Schwaigert of Delaware, Jeremy (Carrie) Burns of Westerville, and Kelli (Josh) Evans of Kentucky; ten grandchildren; sister Beulah (Gene) Proffitt of Johnsville; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with her father, Ralph Meadows she was preceded in death by a step daughter, Kristin Burns.
The family will receive friends today, Tuesday, December 4, 2012, from 5-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where her funeral will be Wednesday at 11am. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the, Burns Family Memorial Fund, to assist with funeral expenses, be made through the funeral home.
