Ruth Anne Gale, age 75, of Marengo, went peacefully to be with the lord surrounded by her four children and loving husband (truly love at first sight) on February 14, 2013 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born in Mansfield, Ohio December 29th, 1937 and raised in a loving home by Bertha (Bookwalter) and Russell Hogle.
Ruth was a graduate of Marengo High School, retired school bus driver of Highland Schools, and co-owner of Marengo Hardware. She was a member of the Marengo United Methodist Church, Pythian Sisters, volunteer squad member and numerous bowling leagues over the years. She loved following her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events. She also loved watching sporting events on TV, especially college basketball. She was the best Grandma (Hardware), but mostly the best Mom we could ever have asked for, she gave us an unforgettable childhood and support in our adult years.
She will be missed by her husband of 57 years, Robert Gale; children Deb and Gary Fiant of Cardington, Darcy Kazee, Dave Gale & Darla and Andy Messmer all of Marengo; grandchildren & great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Carol Hogle of Buckeye Lake; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dick and Barb Gale of Westerville; and the best nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to Marengo United Methodist Church in Ruth's memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home.
