Carroll D. Brewer, 68, of Candlewood Lake, Mt. Gilead, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 24, 1944 in Morrow County, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Catherine (Schelk) Brewer. He married Brandy M. (Myers) Brewer on June 13, 2009 who survives.
He was a graduate of Johnsville High School in 1962 and Anderson Barber School in Columbus.
Carroll owned and operated Achin' Acre in Edison, Ohio where he cut hair, operated a large greenhouse and had a lawn mower sales and service business for twenty years. He then moved to Florida where he owned and operated a landscaping business. After retiring in 2004 he returned to Morrow County in 2007.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Julie Brewer and Rodney and Denise Brewer, all of Mt. Gilead; three step-daughters, Morgan, Molly and Moriah Brooke at home; one step-son, Branson Brooke at home; five grandchildren, Alexandria, Lyndsey, Maggie, Olivia and Jessica Brewer; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Maxine Hildebrand of Parma, Ladonna and Robert Walker of Ringgold, Ga. and Nancy Long of Virginia Beach, Va. and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Carol Brewer of Dayton and Rollin and Lori Brewer of Johnsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Riley Brewer.
No visitation or funeral services will be held. Arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.
